I'm Katherine, an enthusiastic and passionate young woman, based in York, looking to embark on a journey as a Private Tutor and Early Childhood Educator. I have a zest for knowledge and teaching, which I believe is best nurtured in the early stages of childhood. My love for teaching has led me to seek this career even before finishing secondary school. Being an 18 year old student, I can readily relate with learners aged 6 to 17, and can patiently work with them to prepare for school or exams. Even though I don’t have any professional teaching experience, I am eager to turn my passion into my profession and make learning an enjoyable experience for your kids. Although my primary subjects of proficiency are Mathematics and Advanced Mathematics, I am more than capable of extending my help in other fields, as well. I am flexible and can adjust to your child's learning style and pace, and I am available throughout the week, even in the night, to cater for your child's academic needs at your convenience. Being Filipino, I am fluent in English and Tagalog, which I believe is an added advantage to hone the linguistic skills of your child. Moreover, I am a non-smoker which makes me fit into diverse environments. Please note that I prefer to conduct my classes at the employer’s house. I used to help tutor younger schoolmates with their subjects, especially in the Mathematics subject, for 2 years in the Philippines. Despite the short time given to us to teach them the subjects, they manage to understand the lesson they struggle with through the practice problems I give them.
