I'm Shelby, a passionate and dedicated educator with over 10 years of teaching experience. Currently based in Saskatoon, I'm in the process of acquiring an ESL certificate and I'm excited to broaden my teaching horizons. With a background in primary education, I'm notably skilled in working with children with special needs and preparing for school students. I have a Master of Education in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership, which has helped me in cultivating a comprehensive perspective towards education and student growth. Being an Education graduate, I also enjoy integrating diverse art forms into learning, to the very bottom of phonetics. Additionally, I can guide students in music learning, specifically piano and guitar. In terms of school subjects, I offer tutoring in Math, English, Literature, Geography, Biology, History/Social studies, Social Science, Psychology, Philosophy. Fitness and Yoga are included in my repertoire too, promoting holistic development in my learners. Flexibility and adaptability are key tenets in my approach; I am open to relocation and travel. And, for the comfort and convenience of my students, I prefer to conduct tutoring sessions at the students' homes. With a clean police check, First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications, I assure safety and responsibility in all my interactions. Though I don’t smoke and maintain a healthy lifestyle, I pride myself in being adept at swimming and having my vehicle for ease of commuting. My schedule is fairly flexible, as I'm available throughout the week, including weekends. As a proud Canadian with fluency in English, my ambition is to harness my skills and experience in the roles of a private tutor or an early childhood educator. I am eager to use my knowledge and passion to create a stimulating and encouraging environment for the trainees, be they children or adults.
