My name is Jaydia. I am 27 years old and just recently moved to Port Moody. I am from Vancouver Island originally and am excited to start this new chapter! I graduated high school in 2015 and then shortly after graduated from a year long administrative course at VIU. I have worked in the administrative/finance fields for a long time before I moved to Turkey to live abroad for a year. When I was there, I received my ESL certification and started teaching English remotely. I brought that skill home with me and started working with Korean children, here in Canada, from the ages of 9-14. I worked in that role for a year and a half. It was a blend of English teaching and childcare. Some things that I love are hiking, swimming, surfing, camping, good food, and music! I love working with children and creating a calm environment that helps them to develop with ease. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working with kids and watching them learn the English language but also become great kids!

I am a certified ESL teacher with over 2 years experience in the related field. I have worked with people all over the world but most recently in the last year I have worked with Korean children between the ages of 9-14 in person. I have helped them to develop excellent reading skills, vocabulary skills, and pronunciation. We would train them for winning speech competitions in Korea or helping them get approved for Canadian private schools. Many of my students have done both.
