Iris G.
I am an Honours Biochemistry student at the University of Ottawa with a lifelong passion for science and education. As a former teacher’s assistant, I gained hands-on experience simplifying complex topics and adapting my communication style to meet the unique needs of each student. I specialize in supporting students with ADHD by applying strategies I developed through my own experience studying STEM with ADHD, helping them learn in ways that work with their differences rather than against them. I believe in making topics not just understandable, but genuinely exciting and curiosity-sparking. My goal is to create engaging, accessible learning experiences through curiosity-driven explanations and creative strategies that help students connect with the material and develop effective learning techniques they can carry forward throughout their academic journeys. In my personal time, I enjoy participating in undergraduate research competitions such as SCINAPSE, and I foster a love for reading ranging from mythology and science fiction to the latest scientific papers in chemistry.
