Emma M.
As an older sister, I often feel like I've been teaching all my life! I hold a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and am currently completing a Master's degree in History. Before university, I completed high school science maths (Years 1 and 2), as well as courses in physics and chemistry. At CEGEP, I studied social sciences, focusing particularly on sociology. Throughout my academic journey, I consistently maintained an average grade above 90% while working as a swimming instructor and research assistant. Currently, I am employed by the City of Montreal as an Aquatic Coordinator. This role has involved learning through guided play and developing teaching tools and lesson plans designed to promote creativity among my instructors. Recently, I have collaborated with staff and participants from organizations such as Autisme Montreal, DefPhys Sans Limites, and CHSLD to create relevant, adaptive programming for children and adults with various disabilities. I hold certifications in Standard First Aid (CPR-C), National Lifeguard, Swimming Instructor (Lifesaving Society), Lifesaving Instructor (Lifesaving Society), and I am a Standard First Aid Instructor. Additionally, I possess a driver's license. I spend most of my free time hiking in the forest. I am passionate about nature, art, reading, and history. Having spent nearly a decade teaching children, I am committed to promoting a safe yet structured environment that encourages children to explore and learn without fear of failure. I would welcome the opportunity to meet you and your family, so please consider reaching out!
I have been working with children for nearly a decade, teaching art, boating skills, swimming and more. I have experience working with babies, toddlers and children, and have spent many years working with children and adults with disabilities in English and in French.
