Julia N.
I am a recent university graduate. I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychology from Western University. After graduation, I moved to Montreal to search for a job and explore the city. I speak English fluently and possess an advanced level of proficiency in French. My interests range from visiting art museums and exploring nature to baking, reading, writing, and vintage shopping. I am empathetic, understanding, hardworking, and passionate about teaching. Additionally, I consider myself a lifelong learner. I love learning new things! 😊
I worked at a summer camp for children aged 4-14 called STEM Camp. I taught Science, Math, Engineering and Technology. I also taught basic coding and programming. We taught the children through lessons, games, demonstrations, and activities. We built robots, did science experiments and played educational games. I was a babysitter for 7 years. I sometimes helped the kids with homework. I also used to teach my younger brother piano and help him with his school work. I was a camp counselor at a camp called Kidscape where I taught arts and crafts. I also worked as a mental health worker, assisting in art therapy, music therapy, talk therapy, baking and gardening with young adults with schizophrenia or episodes of psychosis.
I did a year of a masters program in counselling psychology at Western University. I decided to focus on my career for the time being instead. I have a strong understanding of Psychology and the social sciences. I have my Honors Specialization BA in psychology from Western University.
