Hello there! I am Rowena, a seasoned educator with an impressive 28 years of experience in the teaching field both in-class and as a private tutor. I've spent my career focused on Chemistry and Physics and enjoy educating children of all ages, ranging from ages three up to fifteen. My solid background in Science and Teacher Education, backed by my Bachelor’s, Master's degree, and college in Secondary schools, best equip me to bring a comprehensive and well-rounded approach to teaching. I am a passionate, knowledgeable, and patient Science tutor who prioritizes the welfare, needs, and education of my pupils above all else. I am committed to helping students prepare for exams, further their understanding of primary school subjects, and get ready for school in the best way. I come from a Filipino background and am proudly bilingual, able to converse seamlessly in English. As a mother of two, I understand the importance of patience and empathy in handling young children, skills that have immensely benefitted my teaching style. To top it all, I am flexible and available throughout the weekdays and the weekends — morning, middle of the day, or evening, and prefer to work at my student's home, providing a comfortable and conducive learning environment. Start date is negotiable, but I am set to start from 13th February 2024. While I am a non-smoker, please note that I do not have a police check; however, I assure you that my dedication to teaching and the educational progress of my students is unwaning. I am committed Teacher with a total of 28years of experience. I was a Junior High School Public Teacher teaching Science specifically Chemistry and Physics for 22 years. I am handling 50 students in one class, though it’s not easy but I manage to have a good relationship in each one of them. I am devoted to promoting student learning and strengthening individual potential. Skillful in directing classroom environments and enhancing student behavior through positive and forward thinking approaches. I also taught Math and Science in a Private University for 6 years in Philippines.
