Hello there! I'm Maya, a compassionate and dedicated tutor with 2 years of experience. I'm extremely passionate about teaching and find nothing more gratifying than witnessing my students succeed academically. My love for children extends beyond the classroom; I've spent 3 years assisting kids with special needs and learning disabilities, a work that remains considerably close to my heart. As a Canadian with fluency in English and French, I have found great success tutoring in several subjects including Math, English, Literature, Geography, Social Science, and Psychology. I started out as a family tutor and my unwavering commitment to helping my students reach their potential has seen their grades skyrocket over time. My ability to prepare students for exams, primary school, and cater to children with special needs stands as a testament to my abilities as a tutor. Although I am currently a student myself, my learning is dynamic and expansive, branching out from Psychology and Art, to Teacher Education and Speech Therapy. I believe this eclectic mix of subjects allows me to approach teaching with a unique, multidimensional perspective - something my students can greatly benefit from. As for my availability, my schedule is quite flexible. I am available to tutor on all days of the week, including weekends, and I am fully capable of travelling for work. Though I currently reside in Laval, I do not have the capacity to relocate but do have my own vehicle which I can use for job purposes. As a nonsmoker with a work permit, I value my health and professionalism. I also hold the ability to swim as a safety measure. Currently, I am looking forward to extending my guidance and expertise as a private tutor, preferably within the comfort of my own home. My offer extends to trainees aged 3 to 15 years. I have been on the honour roll since I started high school till now (last year of college) studying countless subjects. I spent 3 years working with kids with disabilities and have helped them with several subjects (math, french, english, psychology, etc), and have had the opportunity to see their beautiful minds succeed.
