Edward Z.
My name is Edward, a 19-year-old Science major at the University of British Columbia with a keen interest in tutoring. I discovered my passion for teaching back in grade 8 when I found great joy in assisting my peers with homework and test preparation. This fueled my involvement in a school-based tutoring program where I volunteered to help students with subjects such as Math, General Science, and French. Additionally, I volunteered at Kumon where I helped students with math problems while refining their problem-solving skills. In terms of academics, I maintained a high school average of 93%, with better results in the main sciences and math ranking above 95%. Patience, organization, and excellent interpersonal skills are some of the assets I can bring. I'm comfortable tutoring Math, General Science, Chemistry, and Physics up to Grade 12. I can offer my services in either my home, your home, or online, and I'm available for tutoring sessions throughout the week, with extensive flexibility on Mondays to Thursdays from morning till night, and mornings until midday from Friday to Sunday. Proficient in English, French, and Mandarin, I can adapt to different learner needs. Moreover, I am open to working with learners of varying ages from 6 to 17 years old. I am willing to obtain a criminal record check. I am a non-smoker, a decent swimmer, and I have a driver's license along with a vehicle that I can use on the job. I am ready to start working immediately and eager to help your child prepare for school or exams for general or summer school.
I have volunteered as a tutor at my high school for subjects such as Math, Science, and French. I have also volunteered at Kumon, helping students with Math. Additionally, I am part of the team of a tutoring company that helps students of various ages with their studies.
