My name is Alicia, a 35-year-old based in Calgary, originally from Trinidad. I am currently an international student pursuing my Diploma in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting. Despite holding a different major, my passion for teaching has led me to look for a position as a private tutor for primary school students. I am fluent in English and equipped to teach subjects including Math and English. My current academic pursuit has honed my sense of responsibility, integrity and teamwork, traits shaped by a strong supportive family background. While I don't have formal working experience quite yet, my life experiences have instilled in me a strong sense of compassion, patience, and dependability. I have spent considerable time caring for children in my personal life, which includes helping raise my partner’s children and volunteering in my community. While I do not hold a driver's license and are unable to relocate, I can travel to the employer's home for tutoring sessions. I understand that every child has a unique learning pace, and I am open to adapt and shape my teaching style to fit each student's needs. My availability spans from Monday to Wednesday and Friday in the evenings, as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings. I am ready to commence immediately, and with genuine passion for helping others, I firmly believe that I can make a positive impact on your child's academic journey. I look forward to the opportunity to support the educational development of your child, aiding in school and exam preparation, and making learning an enjoyable and engaging experience for them.
