I am a seasoned educator with over fifteen years of teaching to my credit. My training, and experience in both the independent and public sectors in Canada and abroad, have prepared me well to assume the responsibilities associated with tutoring children, adolescents and adults alike. French is my mother tongue, and I completed my studies in French up to and including the university level, obtaining a diploma in Communications at the Université de Montréal. Shortly after completing my Bachelor of Education at McGill University in second language teaching (ESL), I obtained the credentials to teach English (intermediate/senior levels) and French as a second language (FSL). Fun fact: I left teaching in 2014 to pursue a law degree. I graduated from the University of Ottawa cum laude, obtaining my degree in 2017. After being called to the bar in 2018, I was a practicing lawyer for five years. I returned to teaching in 2023. During my career in Education, I taught to students of all ages, including university students and adults, whether privately or in school settings. I taught English Language Arts and Literature (IB/AP), Drama, ESL, French language arts and FSL to middle and high school students in both the private and public sectors. In addition to having taught in Canada as a qualified teacher (BC and Ontario, and now Alberta), I also lived and taught abroad, including in Japan and Colombia. I am currently teaching French as a Second Language (FSL), Speech & Debate, and Drama to middle school students at Calgary Classical Academy (CCA) in Calgary. CCA offers an academically rigorous and traditional liberal arts education, equipping students with the virtues, knowledge, and habits befitting free citizens.

I have taught English and French Language Arts, ESL, FSL and other subjects in public and private schools, and as a tutor to children and adults alike, in Canada (ON, BC, now AB) and overseas (Colombia, Japan). I was also a teacher adviser in the UAE, showing other teachers how to prepare student-centered lessons which encouraged logical reasoning/critical thinking.

I also have a law degree (Juris Doctor).
