Viviana R.
My name is Viviana, and I’m excited to share a bit about myself. I was born in Venezuela and I moved to Montreal, Canada, at the age of 15. There, I had the opportunity to attend high school in French, which helped me become fluent in the language. Having learned English from a young age, I chose to pursue my university studies in English, immersing myself in both French and English throughout my academic journey. My passion for languages has always been a driving force in my life, leading me to study several others, including Portuguese, Italian, Catalan and American Sign Language. From an early age, I’ve been passionate about helping others, especially children. Whether tutoring classmates or participating in community projects, I’ve always enjoyed supporting academic growth. At Dawson College, I studied Health Sciences, strengthening my foundation in biology and mathematics, while also tutoring peers in subjects such as Math, Biology, and Spanish. At McGill University, I furthered my interest in Psychology and Health Sciences and worked as a notetaker for students with disabilities, championing inclusivity in education. Additionally, I spent three years as a party leader, organizing and leading children’s parties and events, working with children of all ages and backgrounds. This experience allowed me to hone my skills in creativity, leadership, and communication. More recently, I worked for a Canadian NGO in North Macedonia, teaching English and Science to children from low-income communities. This role allowed me to continue my passion for helping children succeed academically while applying my skills in communication, psychology, and education in a meaningful way.
