I'm Allie, and I would love to teach you or your family member(s). I hold a B.A. in English from McMaster University, and an M.A. in English & Medieval Studies from the University of Toronto. I've taught children to read, helped them with primary school math, and I've taught adults at a university level. I live on my own in Brantford, and enjoy the company of a dark grey cat named Roo. In my spare time I read, a lot, usually around 80 books a year. I'm learning to speak Spanish, and I'm enjoying that thoroughly. I love to bake, and I'm a good cook. I watch a lot of British TV (on Britbox), and particularly like British crime dramas. Travelling is something I absolutely love. My most recent trip was to Iceland, and I really fell in love with the countryside and the people.

I've been fortunate enough to teach children how to read and to teach adults how to read Old English. I've taught at a tutoring centre, a university, and in the comfort of my home or yours. I teach English, Creative writing, and can help you study for an upcoming exam, or help you write an essay for class. I'm a qualified teacher of English as a Second Language, so if you're new to the country I could really help you learn how to speak, write, and read English.
