I have been married to my husband for 32 years, we have 2 daughters ages 24 and 26. I taught mostly high school students with the Waterloo Catholic District School Board for 25 years. I taught various subjects over that time span; physical education, science, ESL, english, parenting, religion, special education, student success, alternative education. After retiring, I have worked as a self-employed student success coach and education consultant, working with parents and students. I not only help with homework but also with developing skills needed for success; positive and growth mindset, executive functioning- time management, organization, self-control and focus, effective communication skills, mental wellness and self care and much more. I work with the student as a whole person, not just academics. I have been hired by families to homeschool their child with learning challenges, and have successfully transitioned them back into the public school system and they are thriving academically, socially and mentally. My interests include; sports, nature walks, business/entrepreneurship, designing on Canva and reading. I have a strong work ethic, am patient, caring and kind. My motto is to practice gratitude everyday, this helps to build resilience and have a positive perspective on life.
