I am a dedicated and passionate tutor with years of experience helping students succeed in Math, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), English, and Social Studies. Currently in Grade 12, I have been accepted into the University of Alberta, where I will be majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Biochemistry. My strong academic background, leadership experience, and commitment to education make me an excellent tutor.
I come from a large family with five younger siblings, which has strengthened my patience, adaptability, and leadership skills. Growing up in a dynamic household, I developed a strong ability to communicate, problem-solve, and mentor others effectively. Since junior high, I have been involved in multiple tutoring clubs and NGOs, helping students of all backgrounds excel in their studies. Additionally, I volunteered to teach in rural Pakistan, where I taught core subjects, led sports teams, and organized health and wellness demonstrations.
Beyond academics, I have a passion for reading, debating, and coding. I am known for being patient, approachable, and engaging, making learning enjoyable and stress-free for my students. My teaching approach is highly personalized—I use multiple resources, create customized notes, and develop study strategies tailored to each student’s needs. My goal is to help students build confidence, master challenging concepts, and reach their full potential.
I have been tutoring since junior high and middle school, participating in tutoring clubs and working with multiple tutoring NGOs. Throughout high school, I continued tutoring through the J. Percy Page Tutor Club, where I helped students with Math, Science, and English before, during, and after school. I also volunteered to teach in rural Pakistan, where I taught elementary and middle school students in Math, PE, Urdu, and English, led sports teams, and organized health and wellness demonstrations. Additionally, as a member of the J. Percy Page Debates Club, I taught junior students debate techniques, public speaking, and critical thinking.
I tutor Math(all grades, sometimes precalc and calc), Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), English, and Social Studies for Grades K-12. My teaching approach is highly personalized, as I adapt lessons to each student's needs and learning style. I use multiple resources to provide a well-rounded understanding, create customized notes, tips, and tricks, and offer interactive, student-centered learning to keep students engaged. My goal is to help students build confidence, master difficult concepts, and achieve academic success.
I am currently in grade 12 but will pursue a major in Computing science and a minor in Biochem, both honors, at the University of Alberta.
