My name is Claire Jane and I am a student originally from Alberta who recently moved to Vancouver Island University for post-secondary and finished my first year with a 4.33 GPA as a student athlete before switching to an Engineering Degree. I grew up with ADHD and with no study skills, and ever since finding strategies that worked for me, my goal has been finding ways to learn that work for each kid to enable them to succeed in all subjects. I have so many hobbies, I can't even count them. But this makes it super easy for me to find common ground with your kiddo! I am a huge people person, but I also know how to tone myself back to each individual comfort level. I have tutored a wide range of subjects, specifically Math and teaching to neurodiverse children. I grew up with ADHD and with no study skills, and ever since finding strategies that worked for me, my goal has been finding ways to learn that work for each kid to enable them to succeed in all subjects. I also offer joint tutoring sessions with any other skills in my wheelhouse: fitness, art, basketball, clarinet- to stimulate brains that need breaks in their studying but wish to still grow their skillset.
