When do you need a PSW instead of a caregiver?

A PSW or similarly trained home support worker has formal training in personal care, mobility and transfers, hygiene, safety and supporting people with reduced independence. In Manitoba, this may be called a PSW program or an equivalent personal/home support training program and typically includes supervised practical experience.
