Examples (1) Cared for Maria's Family( private home) Maria was 75 years old and suffered Mobility impairment and Alzheimer. I lived with Maria for 3 years and provide personalized Care and support to Maria in the comfort of her home. ITransferred Maria to the wheelchair in the morning. Assist her in personal hygiene like ( brushing, toileting, bathing, dressing, nails) and also prepare and serve meals. Assist to administer drugs according to doctor's prescription and also assisting in a range of motion exercises. I Plan and prepare meals for the family and I do all the laundry and light housekeeping. We take walks outside sometimes for her to get fresh air. She watches some programs on the television when she wants. Once she eats and takes her medication. I did light housekeeping like tidy the kitchen, vacuuming, dishwashing,, mopping, washed toilet, bathroom and all the rooms in the house and provided companionship to her. She takes her breakfast after bath in the morning. Takes lunch by 12. 30p.m and dinner by 6.30p.m on a daily basis. We work on some puzzles, board games, solitaire games, etc. The family takes her to doctors appointments as and when due. I go to doctors appointments with her. (2)Equally, I cared for Agu's family (private home) Agu was 92 years old and suffered visual impairment and severe auspolocis/arthritis. I provided care and companionship to Agu and assist with personal hygiene task like bathing, brushing, toileting, dressings, transferring, supervision, feeding, and light housekeeping.Actually I have passion in making positive impact in the life of my clients. There are many others like a lifetime of taking care of my husband who is diabetic and my late mother-in-law who has some lifelong Visual issues as well as diabetes, hypertension, and stroke later in life. Others that were not paid employment but rather voluntary services to the sick and elderly in my neighborhood to make their lives easier. I have a total of 10 years experience working with seniors including my mother in-law. Caregiving job gives me joy and happiness.
