Hikaru H.
I'd like to help people live independently, stay true to themselves, and enjoy their daily lives.
I learned basic caregiving skills in Japan, and I got a caregiving qualification there. I learned how to help people move, use the toilet, take a bath, change diapers and clothes, and eat. I learned these skills through practical training. Also, when I was a university student, I had training at a care facility. I had experience helping real clients with their daily activities. I have over three years of experience as a fitness instructor. I worked in a gym connected to a rehabilitation hospital, where I supported senior clients and assisted Physical and Occupational therapists. I also have experience helping older adults in New Zealand with daily activities such as cleaning, gardening, meal preparation, walking with dog. 【Why did I apply this position?】 As a gym instructor, I helped my clients become more independent through exercise. My work was mainly about supporting clients to live independence for as long as possible through exercise. But I realized that my goal is the same as caregiving. I'd like to help people live independently, stay true to themselves, and enjoy their daily lives. I find it rewarding to help people maintain their independence and quality of life.
