Alejandra E.
My name is Alejandra, and I’m originally from Mexico, now living in Vancouver. I have a background in Biomedical Engineering, which gives me confidence in handling medical equipment, but more importantly, I have a true passion for caregiving. I’ve been working with seniors and adults for over a year, supporting individuals with neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Autism, as well as clients with mobility issues and complex medical needs. I live with my long-term partner, and we both value peace, kindness, and community. In my free time, I love reading about self-development, psychology, and emotional well-being, which has helped me grow as a caregiver and as a person. I also enjoy yoga, being in nature, and spending time with animals—I have two lovely cats! Families often describe me as gentle, reliable, and deeply empathetic. I believe in treating every person with dignity and love, and I truly enjoy building meaningful connections with those I care for. I'm here to make a difference, one person at a time.
I have one year of paid experience as a caregiver, providing compassionate support to adults with diverse needs, including neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson’s, Delirium and Autism. I have also worked with clients with limited mobility, including those with paralysis, using ceiling lifts, standard lifts with harnesses, and repositioning techniques to ensure safety and comfort in bed. I am trained in personal care, feeding, and medical support tasks such as insulin injections, feeding pump management, and proper hygiene routines. My background in Biomedical Engineering allows me to feel confident using medical equipment, but my greatest strength is my heart. I am gentle, patient, and deeply empathetic. I love learning about emotions and self-development, and I bring that warmth and awareness into every interaction. I take pride in creating a space of peace, dignity, and genuine connection with every person I care for.
