Gloderose G.
I completed my Healthcare Assistant Diploma with Honours and Medication Administration Certificate at Drake Medox College last year (2023), then worked as a Care Aide in a long-term care facility right after obtaining my BC Care Aide registry. I am patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, hardworking, and have always strived to provide excellent care to the residents I tend to, ensuring they are safe, nourished, comfortable, and able to enjoy life to the fullest. Having nursed, nurtured, and homeschooled my four children in their early years significantly helped me develop responsibility, organization, prioritization, time management, and endless patience. I consider my residents as family, especially like my parents. Unfortunately, I was unable to be with them during the most challenging times when my father fell ill and passed away last year while I was studying to become an HCA. Due to our temporary worker status in Canada and the future of our kids, I could not return to my home country to be with my family. This experience has motivated me to provide the best care possible for my residents, as if they were my own parents, in memory of my late father. These are the deep reasons that inspire me to excel in my field of caregiving. Considering my education, experience, interests, and motivation, I believe I could be a valuable asset to any company or family as their Caregiver.
I work as a Care Aide in a long-term care facility, where I provide compassionate care to residents according to their care plans. I assist them with activities of daily living, including bathing, oral care, feeding, peri-care, bed making, dressing, and grooming. I ensure they receive proper nutrition, are safe, comfortable, and are able to enjoy life to the fullest.
I have completed my Healthcare Assistant-Diploma with Honours at Drake Medox College, as well as Medication Administration Certificate at the same college last year (2023).
