I am actively seeking employment as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) with a genuine passion for providing elderly care. Having gained valuable work experience in this field, I had the opportunity to work as a caregiver in Israel prior to immigrating to Canada. My time spent there not only allowed me to hone my skills in elderly care but also allowed me to fluently communicate in Hebrew, fostering a sense of cultural competency. Moreover, I had the privilege of working as a live-in caregiver for a bedbound client in Montreal before making the life-changing decision to relocate to Toronto three years ago. This experience further enhanced my abilities as a dedicated and compassionate PSW. Recently, I successfully completed my PSW Certificate program, equipping me with the most up-to-date knowledge and practical skills necessary to excel in this profession. I am eager to embark on this fulfilling career path and utilize my expertise to make a positive impact in the lives of those in need.

I worked as a caregiver in Israel for years to a woman with dementia before I come here to Canada. I am a registered nurse in the Philippines. My first employer here in Canada is an old woman sufferring from degenerative desease. I give her food through gastrostomy tube and she has colostomy. I just finished my PSW Certificate program and did my placement at Meighen Manor which help me gained additional knowlegdge in giving care to elderly residentsespecially those who have dementia. Got the chance to work with different elderly residents. I mastered transferring residents from bed to wheelchair and vice versa using hoyer lift.
