Mariana Fernanda M.
I’m an International Medical Graduate. As a General Practitioner/Physician, I possess a strong work ethic and enjoy problem solving, often working under pressure and dealing with large caseloads. Leveraging my passion and extensive knowledge in healthcare, I have spent over 3 years working to significantly improve upon patient health perception and adherence to their treatments, resulting in a better quality of life and greater life expectancy. Having a strong interest in patient recovery, I have sought specialization in Physical Rehabilitation to ensure patients with neurological injuries, such as spinal cord injury, stroke, or cerebral palsy etc. can still have hope for a new life and continue to participate in society, despite their disability. For this purpose, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of patients - post surgical, geriatric, pediatric, amputees, and patients with muscular dystrophy, neurological diseases, chronic diseases, and those with, severe and chronic pain. I am adept at working unsupervised and quickly mastering new skills, and I leverage efficient interpersonal skills, my proficiency in Spanish and competency in English to communicate effectively with both colleagues, patients and clients no matter how fast-paced the work environment is. I really enjoy working with elderly patients because it gives me the opportunity to contribute to their healthy aging and you can always learn something from their experience.
