Trishna D.
My name is Trishna, a home and personal support worker specializing in elderly care, currently based in Surrey. I have a year of experience providing comprehensive health and household care. I also have a master's degree and hold necessary certifications in First Aid, CPR, SERVING IT RIGHT, Naloxone, Food Safety, and Medication for Caregivers. During the past year, I've taken care of an elderly couple, an experience that has developed both my personal and professional skills. Apart from maintaining a clean home, I prepare meals according to my clients' dietary needs. Leisure activities such as cooking, crafting, or dancing are also part of what I offer, as I find joy in engaging my clients in them. Regular walks and excursions are also important to me since they help to preserve their physical health and connection to the outside world. My primary expertise lies in Alzheimer's/Dementia care, but I also have experience in Diabetes and Incontinence management. I am bilingual, fluent in both English and Hindi. Currently, I am looking for full or part-time work in Home Health Care, without the possibility to relocate. I am available seven days a week, anytime, and capable of travelling to work sites despite not holding a driver's license. While I have some experience with children, my skills include housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning, and accompanying clients on appointments. I am willing to take on tasks such as pet care, housecleaning, lifts and transfers, bed baths, and performing range-of-motion exercises. If required, I can also provide a police check. My aim is to provide empathetic care by treating your loved ones with respect and dignity, while also offering companionship.
I have worked in healthcare from last year. I have worked for private family house. Maintained a clean and safe living environment by organizing and tidying living spaces, doing laundry, and managing household chores. And engaged clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Currently I’m looking after an elderly couple at West Vancouver with their house hold chores etc. I love working as a support worker as it makes a positive impact for a next person. Life became more easier with little help. It also helps me understand about healthcare and personal growth and I get to learn new things everyday.
