I enjoy being creative; Imaking jewelry, decorating, fashion, & cooking. I have a deep fondness for people & animals, & I especially adore children & elderly people. Updating my profile for 2026 <3 My name is Dherlyn, I'm currently in school for Practical Nursing. I just started Term 2 and recently did my clinicals at a senior care home, which was such an experience! Coming from none to little background of the healthcare profession, I learned the basics of providing care. I would really love to further my knowledge while taking care of someone. In the care home, I was assigned different residents but wasn't limited to just them. I was able to interact with most of the residents that were on the floor of our unit so I have a broad understanding of conditions, but with proper training or orientation, I'm certain I can help you with your needs. A little about me.... I'm 25 yrs old. I used to be a Fire Extinguisher Technician for 5 years beginning of 2020, although I was paid well, I left because I was craving for growth and the job just didn't give me that. I recently started school in Sept. Initially, being an LPN wasn't something I wanted to do because I'm very empathetic and caring for other people. Though these are really good qualities, I sometimes find it to be my weaknesses as well because I can get overboard. Hoping with the guidance of school, I can regulate those emotions.🤪 I was told I'm friendly haha I'm also very energetic, I laugh a lot (sometimes even when just having a normal conversation but I'm not crazy lol.. maybe in a good way?😅). I used to play volleyball most of the time but with school, it has become very limited. I like to sing too! During my clinicals, one of the residents I was assigned to had severe dementia, and last year when they were playing Christmas songs at the care home, I was singing them to her and she would remember to hum the song and those were one of the precious moments I had there. Schedule: I have school Mon-Fri, from 8am-1pm and I play volleyball on Tuesday nights (had to leave one day for that to keep me sane lol), but other than those times, I'm mostly free! It can also change depends if I have important stuff like exam days but it can always be discussed in advanced. If you'd like to discuss more, feel free to message me! <3 Prior to going to school, I've taken care of someone to help my mom but it was only for few days and I have recently done my practicum at a senior care home. Please read my About Me for more :) Currently in school for Practical Nursing, Term 2.

I am a positive, warm, and reliable person with strong educational and professional experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Economics and have a background in pharmaceutical studies, which helps me stay organized, detail-oriented, and confident when supporting people with their daily needs. I have experience caring for seniors both in my home country and here in Canada, where I assisted with daily routines, companionship, light mobility support, meal preparation, and creating a safe, comfortable environment. I truly enjoy being a companion, offering emotional support, meaningful conversation, and a calm, friendly presence. I value kindness, respect, and dignity, and I am looking to work with clients who are stable, mobile, and in need of assistance or companionship rather than complex medical or end-of-life care. As a person, I am friendly, compassionate, patient, and attentive. I love walking, staying active, cooking simple healthy meals, and bringing a positive atmosphere into the home. I take pride in being dependable, honest, and easy to communicate with. I would be happy to support a family or individual who is looking for someone caring, responsible, and uplifting. I have over two years of paid and hands-on experience providing care and support for seniors. In my home country, I assisted elderly family members and neighbors with daily living activities, companionship, mobility support, medication reminders, and creating a safe, comfortable environment. This gave me strong practical skills and a deep understanding of the needs of seniors. After moving to Canada, I worked with a caregiving company where I supported senior clients with personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, emotional support, and safe mobility. I am patient, compassionate, reliable, and always focused on dignity and respect. Caring for seniors is something I genuinely enjoy, and I take pride in helping people feel safe, valued, and independent. I have a strong educational background that helps me provide responsible, organized, and professional care. I hold a Master’s degree in Economics, which strengthened my analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage tasks efficiently. In addition, I completed a pharmacy-related education, which gave me a solid understanding of medications, safety, health procedures, and working with people in sensitive situations. This knowledge helps me support seniors, follow safety guidelines, and communicate clearly with clients and families. My education, combined with my caregiving experience, allows me to provide compassionate and reliable support while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

My name is Alexa. I am proud to call the vibrant, bustling heart of my home. For the last 15 years, I have devoted myself wholeheartedly to the role of a full-time mom, a role that I deeply cherish. My days have been filled with the joy and challenges of raising two beautiful boys who are 14 and 3 years old and autistic. Right now I'm working as registered care aide at Inglewood Care Centre. Alongside my journey as a mother, I have been pursuing my passion in healthcare. I am on the brink of completing my course and graduating as a Health Care Assistant, or HCA. This is something I have dedicated my time and energy towards and I am excited to see the outcome of my efforts. UPDATE! Officially registered CARE AIDE!☺️ My name is Alexa. I am proud to call the vibrant, bustling heart of my home. My journey through life over the last 15 years has been wholeheartedly devoted to the role of a full-time mom, a role that I cherish deeply. My days have been filled with the joy and challenges of raising two beautiful boys, who are currently 14 and 3 years old with autism. Alongside my journey as a mother, I have been pursuing my passion in healthcare. I am currently on the brink of completing my course and graduating as a Health Care Assistant, or HCA. This is something that I have dedicated my time and energy towards and I am looking forward to seeing the fruit of my labor. Looking forward into April, I’m massively anticipating to complete my practicum at a long-term care facility, the final step in my journey before acquiring my British Columbia Health Care Assistant registry. This practicum is much anticipated for me as it is the stepping stone towards achieving my dream and it would allow me to implement all that I have learned during my course into real-life practical situations. I am thrilled at the very thought of harnessing my newly acquired skills in a real-world setting where I can make a significant impact. I greatly value the opportunity to gain hands-on experience providing compassionate, patient-focused care to those who need it most. Upon successfully completing my practicum and receiving my registry, my exhaustive efforts would finally yield fruits and I eagerly anticipate diving headfirst into exploring the myriad job opportunities that will come my way in this field. I am especially excited about the prospect of working in long-term care, an area where I believe I can make the most meaningful difference.

I am a dedicated, friendly, and patient person who values kindness, compassion and hard work. I am eager to get to know you better. I am a Filipino who was raised in Ladner, and grew up with my parents, an older brother, a younger sister, and younger brother. We were a Catholic family. Following my high school graduation in Tsawwassen, I began working in various jobs as a bus attendant, retail associate, cashier, and nanny before deciding to return to school. For a few years, I had to balance three jobs while enrolled in a part-time general studies program at Douglas College. When the child I was nannying began pre-school, I transitioned to full-time studies in Early Childhood Education, all while maintaining my other two jobs. After graduating and working for a year in a daycare, I got married and relocated to Edmonton, where my husband found work in his field. I secured a position at the University Infant Toddler Centre in Edmonton and worked there until I reached my third trimester of pregnancy. I took a year off work to care for my son and then returned to work in a different daycare. Within three months, I advanced to the position of Toddler Supervisor, a role I enjoyed immensely. My son also attended the same daycare. Eventually, we moved back to Vancouver, and now the whole family resides in the Lower Mainland, just a short 30-minute drive away. While my eldest son was in pre-school, I worked in the infant room at a daycare in Burnaby. This was followed by relocating to New Westminster because we purchased a condo there, which coincided with my second pregnancy. We decided that I would stay home to raise our sons, given my background and love for family. While my sons were in school I was active in the community such as parent groups and volunteering at their school. I've been a single mother to my two sons, who are now aged 15 and 22. Over the past decade, I've taken up one new activity each year such as swimming, boxing, hiking, indoor and outdoor climbing. Now my hobbies consist of walking, gardening, sewing, and making miniature models. I also love animals and undertake dog-sitting duties once or twice a month. So, if you have a pet, they'll be in good hands with me as my building doesn't allow pets. I have had rewarding career as an Early Childhood Educator and the privilege of being attached to reputable daycare centres both in British Columbia and Alberta. Here I have grown both personally and professionally. When my youngest son embarked on their journey into kindergarten, I seized the opportunity to become a full-time student at Douglas College and enrolled in the Classroom and Community Support Program to equip myself with the abilities and knowledge required assist and support all ages. My recent and notable experiences in adult service care was serving as a companion and assistant to an 89 year old lady. She required assistance with various daily tasks, especially when it was time to transfer in and out of her wheelchair. Some of these tasks included getting into my car or moving onto a chair for lunchtime. She also required assistance with personal hygiene tasks, such as using the restroom, which indeed involved changing her diaper. In addition to aiding her with these tasks, she and I would spend one afternoon each week doing several activities together for her convenience and leisure. This included running errands, visiting the mall to enjoy a meal, tiding her room and taking care of her laundry. I was also instrumental in assisting her with technical tasks, such as handling her tablet and cell phone. I recall her fondly with the sense of connection we built over a short time. It was a heartwarming experience hearing her share stories from her youth, as well as her experiences as a mother and getting to know her on a deeper level. Given my experience and skills, I believe I may be a suitable match for anyone in need of assistance. Feel free to reach out and contact me at the following phone numbers: or. Let's have a conversation to determine if I am the right person for you.
