I have a love for animals, nature, art and music. I love helping others and making people laugh. I have a bachelor degree in English Literature and I'm returning to school to study Social Work, I also have an interest in acquiring a PSW certificate sooner rather than later. I'm a total cat lover and find I have a very easy time bonding with animals. I love to hear about my current client's life story and what they have accomplished. I have often read to my client and painted with them. I've also crafted some artistic exercises which they enjoy such as "Draw What I Tell You, " "Story-writing, " and "Let's Go For a Bus Ride." I'm a very organized and friendly individual who is happy to assist my client in anyway that benefits them. I'm comfortable doing household chores, helping with grooming/dressing, and I love cooking for people. I want my client to enjoy having me there as someone to bond with and have as a companion. I have worked as a companionship caregiver for over a year now, for a woman with dementia. I take care of her a couple times of week doing household chores, keeping her engaged, taking out for leisurely strolls, and making sure she is taking her medication as necessary.
