Mekka V.
I am a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) with hands-on experience in long-term care and hospital settings. I completed my PSW certification at Algonquin College and currently work at St. Patrick’s Home of Ottawa, where I provide personal care, mobility support, dementia care, and palliative assistance to residents. Family-oriented and community-driven, I value respect, empathy, and teamwork in every aspect of my work. My background has taught me to be adaptable, reliable, and patient, which helps me build trusting relationships with residents and their families. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, cooking, and staying active through walking and fitness. I am also interested in cultural activities and learning, which helps me connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Known for my strong communication skills, time management, and positive attitude, I take pride in providing care that promotes dignity, comfort, and independence.
