Hi, my name is Catherine. I have lived in Ottawa most of my life. I enjoy working with the elderly, people with disabilities and children. I have a great sense of compassion and respect for people, health care and enjoy doing this work. I have experience working with people in their homes and in the hospital setting. I come from a family with a lot of interest in health care. I have two nurses in my immediate family. My brother is a nurse at the General Hospital and my mother was a nurse at Elizabeth Bruyere. I live a very healthy lifestyle, was formerly a professional ballet dancer and have a passion for movement, exercise, massage, nutrition, supplementation and acupuncture. I love spending time outdoors, cooking and reading. I am very knowledgeable about holistic therapies such as physiotherapy, acupuncture and nutrition which some clients have used in conjunction with their medical treatments.

I have worked as a caregiver/companion mainly in people's homes. I have worked with the elderly and several people with cancer, going through chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I assisted them with medications, dressing, bathing, positioning, meal preparation, grocery shopping, bandages, house cleaning and escorting them to chemotherapy, radiation treatments and holistic treatments.
