My name is Ellie. I am 20 years old and I am from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I grew up with two amazing parents and six younger siblings. I was raised in a Christian home, homeschooled by my mom, and have worked for the past 10 years with my dad in his business. My family and I moved to Costa Rica three years ago, and it has been a rewarding experience to live and learn in a new culture. I am feeling ready to take a new step in a new direction, and I am very interested in the opportunity of being a caretaker. I have grown up in a large family with lots of siblings, cousins, and wonderful grandparents and great-grandparents. This has cultivated in me a love for people of all ages and experience in various levels of caretaking. I am a person who loves being needed and I seek to be someone whom others can trust and rely on. I love good conversation, crafting, crocheting, reading, and playing cards. I desire to have a friendship and bond with the individuals that I work with and seek to be a help in whatever way I can. I can cook, bake, clean, and have a love for keeping things organized. In regards to my qualifications, I am confident in my skills when it comes to taking care of a home or assisting with personal care, even though I do not have "professional" experience yet. I have my First Aid certification.

I volunteered in an old folks' home for 3 months in Costa Rica, helping to entertain, feed, and care for the residents there. It was a rewarding experience, and I loved being able to connect with some precious people. I also have years of experience working with children, youth, and individuals with special needs, and have developed skills in each of those jobs that I believe can help in caretaking.
