I am a 45 year old mom of three (ages 17, 22, and 24) originally from Newfoundland; I moved to Alberta at the age of 18. My husband and I have been together for 28 years. I am very much a people pleaser with a huge heart and will do almost anything to make someone smile. I go above and beyond to help people in any way I can and enjoy spending time with them, partaking in activities they wish to do. I spend a lot of time with my elderly neighbour, taking her out for grocery shopping, going on drives, out to lunch, playing games, cards, or simply sitting and chatting. I met Rosemary in 2015, and she now refers to me as her daughter, regularly thanking me for my patience with her, especially when it comes to helping her with electronics which she struggles with a bit. Rosemary has become one of my closest and dearest friends. It fills my heart to know that I can make a difference in people's lives. I can be described as compassionate, hardworking, caring, reliable, and am an easy going individual with excellent communication skills and a great team player. I have a big heart, and my compassion for others, coupled with my desire to help completes me. I love spending time with my family and friends kayaking and kayak fishing. I truly enjoy card or game nights, walking, watching movies, and listening to music. I am also an animal lover.

Though I do not have previous caregiver experience, I do however have a lot of free time on my hands. Throughout my years of working in the customer service area, I have always navigated towards my older co workers. I enjoy their company, conversations & stories. I am an old in my ways and I believe in respect, common courtesy and do what you can for others. I feel I have a lot of love, care and compassion to give. It gives me a sense of fulfillment and joy to be able to be that for someone. I have a 10 year clean driving record that I can supply, a recently cleared a vulnerable sector check, CWIS check and a clean criminal record check.
