Rhoda D.
My name is Rhoda and I'm a Home support worker and companion based in North Vancouver. With a total of one year of experience in the field, I am looking forward to my next caregiving opportunity, preferably in a full-time capacity starting from as soon as possible Although I am relatively new to the healthcare sector, my dedication and my educational background make me a suitable candidate for in-home health care. I hold a Bachelor's degree along with a caregiver/companion certification and a home support worker certification. I am also trained in First Aid and CPR to handle emergency situations effectively. My working hours are flexible, and I am available during the morning and middle of the day from Monday to Friday and the entire day, from morning to evening, on weekends. I am comfortable with both live-in and live-out arrangements as per the requirements of the job. During my career, I have worked with patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Dementia, and also those who are bedridden or have hearing impairments. I consider my role in their lives to be pivotal, not just for their physical well-being but for their emotional health too. I am confident in performing duties such as bathing assistance, dressing grooming assistance, toileting assistance, meal planning and preparation, and Alzheimer/Dementia care. Further, I am also proficient in handling household chores such as housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and escorting to appointments. Planning visits, outings, and trips to visit friends, family or neighbours is also part of my service portfolio. Despite being new to the job, my sincerity and eagerness to help make me stand out. I am looking forward to making a significant difference in the lives of my patients through my role as a caregiver and companion.
