Yvanna B.
I'm Yvanna, a committed and dedicated healthcare professional based in Newmarket, with a rewarding 3-year background in providing comprehensive health care services. I am ready to contribute my skills to a full-time position immediately. Having a wide window of availability during the week and on weekends, especially at nights, I can provide flexible care tailored to your needs. As a Personal Support Worker and Caregiver, I have experience in diverse areas of care – from palliative and Alzheimer/Dementia care to Parkinson care and more. Comfortable doing a wide spectrum of duties including but not limited to Oxygen administration, Bathing and Dressing Assistance, Meal Planning / Preparation, Errands, and Supervision of Home, your loved ones would be in capable and trustworthy hands. Having worked with patients suffering from illnesses such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Cancer, Diabetes, and more, I am well equipped with the necessary skills and experience to provide top-quality care. An excellent swimmer, non-smoker and a holder of a driver's license, I can also accompany patients on outings, appointments, and perform other pertinent tasks. Apart from direct care, I can help with housekeeping duties such as laundry, groceries, vacuuming and planning visits. My preferred work environments are clinics/hospitals, retirement homes, and home health care, but I am open to other arrangements as well. My educational qualifications include a CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and a Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate. I am comfortable working with children, especially those with disabilities, and am fluent in English, French, and Spanish. You rest assured that I will provide prompt and empathetic support to your loved ones. Please note that I am not able to relocate presently but am open to travel within my capacity. I can't wait to provide a safe, enriching, and comfortable atmosphere for your loved one.
I’m very interested in the PSW position, as I have a strong passion for caring for others and supporting their well-being. Over the past three years, I’ve gained valuable unpaid experience providing personal care and assistance to individuals in my community and family. Through this hands-on experience, I’ve developed skills in bathing, grooming, meal preparation, companionship, and mobility support. I’ve learned the importance of empathy, patience, and maintaining dignity in care. I’m now eager to bring this experience into a formal role where I can continue to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
