My name is Mika. I am an Internationally Educated Nurse from the Philippines and have more than four years of working in health care in the Philippines. I also have an active registration to practice as a health care assistant in BC. I have worked in the Middle East for more than two years and was assigned to the Emergency Room. As for my caregiving experience, I worked for a 90-year old client in 2019 to 2020 where I was mainly in charge of her overall care from medications, hygiene and recreation. Currently, I am working part-time as a private caregiver and is looking to fill in the rest of my schedule. I am a hardworking and compassionate person who shows interest and enthusiasm in everything that I do. I also love pets, especially dogs, so I do not mind tending to their care too.

I worked as a Registered Nurse in the Philippines and the Middle East, and I am equipped to provide the basic needs that our elderly require. I also have worked with an awesome lady before, diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and showing early signs of Dementia. During my stay with her, I was mainly in charge of her care from: 1. Ambulation Assistance 2. Patient Positioning 3. Toileting Assistance 4. Bathing Assistance 5. Dressing and Grooming Assistance 6. Range of Motion Exercises 7. Activities of Daily Living 8. Accompanied her to different activities from grocery shopping, trips to the hair salon and routine medical check-ups 9. Assistance with Meal Preparation
