Mercy Korkor T.
My name is Mercy, a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional with over ten years of nursing experience in Ghana, and recent training and experience as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) in Canada. In addition to my clinical background, I also have hands-on experience in housekeeping, which has strengthened my attention to detail, time management, and commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and comfortable environments, essential qualities in both healthcare and home support roles. I come from a supportive family and strongly value respect, compassion, and hard work. These values are at the core of how I care for children and the vulnerable, including the elderly, people with disabilities, and those in need of daily assistance. I have a deep love for reading, and I’m always eager to learn and grow in my field. I’m known for being reliable, calm under pressure, and genuinely empathetic, qualities that allow me to build strong, trusting relationships with clients and colleagues alike. I have experience in Montreal as PAB for the elderly in need of daily assistance including movement, beddings and with those with conditions like stroke and Alzheimer's disease With my combined experience in nursing, personal support, and housekeeping, I bring a well-rounded skill set and a caring heart to every role I take on. I am ready to contribute meaningfully in any environment where dignity, safety, and quality of life are a priority
Over the years, I have gained extensive experience providing compassionate care and support to adults and elderly clients in both clinical and home settings. In Canada, I have worked as a Personal Support Worker in private home care, where I assist clients with personal hygiene, mobility support, medication reminders, and emotional companionship. I also perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, ensuring clients live in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. My ability to monitor changes in clients' health and communicate concerns effectively has helped ensure continuity of care and early intervention where needed. Prior to relocating to Canada, I served for over a decade as a Health Assistant and General Registered Nurse in Ghana, offering direct nursing care to adult patients, including those with chronic conditions or recovering from surgery. I provided support with daily living activities, administered medication under supervision, educated families on proper care routines, and contributed to community-based health initiatives. In addition to my caregiving roles, I have experience in housekeeping and domestic support, where I ensured homes were well-maintained and welcoming for clients with varying health needs. My work has always been guided by compassion, respect, and a strong sense of responsibility.
