With a total of 4 years of experience, I possess all the necessary qualifications, including first aid, CPR, and PAB certification. As a nursing student for 1.7 years, I completed my internship and gained valuable experience working in various hospitals, long-term care facilities, and rehab centers where I provided care to elderly patients. Responsibilities included feeding, showers, changing, transferring, administering medications, and performing various medical nursing skills. I am determined and confident in my ability to provide the best possible care. While in India, I worked as an assistant staff nurse for 3 years and have since gained experience working in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and CIUSS here in Montreal for 8-10 hours a day, 5 days a week during my internship. I have experience caring for elderly patients with a range of conditions, including dementia, Alzheimer's, cognitive deficits, COPD, bedridden patients, heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, and more. I have experience in both personal support worker (PSW) duties and nursing tasks, and I have developed all the necessary skills required for caregiving.
