My name is Micka and I reside in Mississauga. I have one year of working experience in senior/healthcare and am currently seeking a full-time position as a Caregiver/Companion or Personal Support Worker, preferably in retirement homes. I am available for work during mornings and the middle of the day from Monday to Saturday. Possessing a college degree and versed in personal support, my skill set ranges from basic household duties such as housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning/preparation, errands, cleaning bathrooms, dishwashing, and assisting with pet care to personal care tasks such as heavy patient lifting & transfer using Hoyer lifts, bathing and dressing assistance, toileting assistance, and assisting with walking. I can also accompany patients to appointments and plan visits, outings, and trips for them to visit their family, friends, or neighbors. In my previous role, I had the opportunity to work with patients diagnosed with Dementia, Bedridden, and Incontinence. Because of this experience, I am comfortable with a variety of healthcare needs including Alzheimer/Dementia care, Palliative care, Parkinson care, Catheter/Colostomy care, and bed bathing. I am capable of performing lifts and transfers, patient positioning, and can supervise the home as needed. I possess the unique ability to work with children with disabilities. Despite my age, at 22, I bring a high level of maturity, responsibility, empathy, and compassion to my job. I am open to both live-in and live-out arrangements for the right position.
