Direct Patient Care-helping individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting... Mobility Support, Feeding and Nutrition Knowledge in administering prescribed medications and monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions. Experience in taking and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature. Providing emotional support and companionship to individuals, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation. Demonstrating active listening skills and showing empathy to understand and address patient needs and concerns. Experience in caring for individuals with chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, or dementia. Holding certifications such as CPR, First Aid, or a Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate, demonstrating formal training and preparedness for emergency situations. Participating in ongoing training or workshops to stay current with best practices and new developments in caregiving.
