My name is Laurice , and I am currently studying to become a Personal Support Worker at Centennial College, expecting to graduate in August. At present, I am gaining hands-on experience at Unity Health Providence in Scarborough, where I assist residents in their daily activities. My patients include individuals with quadriplegia, dementia, Parkinson's disease, diabetes, visual and hearing impairments, and limited mobility. My strong work ethic and meticulous nature guide my approach to providing excellent care and companionship to seniors, a passion fueled by my relationship with my grandmother. Although I have less than a year of formal caregiving experience, I am excited to apply my training to tasks such as housekeeping, personal care, and scheduling visits. I am currently available for part-time work, from Friday nights to Monday evenings. I am a licensed driver with my own vehicle, which eases my travel requirements. Capable of caring for various medical conditions, I hold certifications in First Aid and CPR and have an Alzheimer’s Certificate In terms of health safety, my vaccinations are updated in line with healthcare requirements including COVID vaccines, hepatitis B, and influenza among others. Furthermore, I am bilingual, fluent in both English and Tagalog. My objective is to uphold the dignity of those in my care and provide them with the best possible assistance.
I am a PSW student at Centennial College, set to graduate in August 2024. I am currently completing my clinical placement at Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence in Scarborough. Additionally, I hold a caregiver certificate from the Philippines.
