Diorela F.
I am 26 years old and a newly licensed Practical Nurse (OIIAQ – Québec), with over three years of experience as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) caring for seniors and adults with special needs. I have also volunteered, which strengthened my commitment to helping others. My interest in healthcare comes from my childhood, marked by health challenges. The caregivers who supported me not only helped me recover but also comforted and supported my family. Growing up, I wanted to follow their example and provide the same care, warmth, and support to others in need. I am single, with no children, and I value genuine human connections. I enjoy spending time in good company, cooking, reading, and walking outdoors. I am known for my compassion, patience, and attentiveness, and I create a safe, respectful, and positive environment for those I care for. I aspire to become a clinical nurse, combining professional expertise with meaningful human connection.
Because every person deserves care filled with respect and kindness I am a compassionate professional dedicated to the well-being and dignity of seniors and adults with loss of autonomy. I place great importance on listening, patience, and genuine human connection, ensuring that each person feels understood, respected, and safe. With over three years of experience in caregiving, I have worked for the CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal as well as Carrefour Providence, a residence for elderly religious sisters in Montréal. These experiences have allowed me to develop strong skills in personal hygiene assistance, mobility support, meal preparation, medication reminders, and emotional care. I am able to adapt to each individual’s unique needs whether they are living with chronic illnesses, mental health challenges (such as depression, anxiety, or dementia), or simply need a warm and reassuring presence in their daily life. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (OIIAQ – Québec) currently in the process of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), I combine professional rigor with genuine compassion. My goal is to provide high-quality care infused with gentleness, respect, and humanity, helping each person live with comfort and dignity.
