Happily married with no kids yet.
I have extensive knowledge and experience in patient care and a Registered Nurse in the Philippines but needed to upgrade my credentials here in Canada to obtain my license. I worked as a Nurse’s Aide under Saskatchewan Health Authority and in a Private Care Home living in the basement suite with my husband. With 5 years of professional care giving experience in the geriatric field, I am well prepared to handle the duties involved in this important job.
As a Nurse’s Aide, I provide daily care to residents with dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and even aggressive patients. I am compassionate, cheerful, and friendly in my interaction with residents. My credentials and trainings are up to date, and I am knowledgeable in all aspects of elder care. In addition, I have specific training and experience working with Alzheimer’s and dementia patients called “Gentle Persuasive Approaches”. I know it is important to focus on helping them to use the skills they currently possess and to be patient with any limitations.
I also have full medical experience like catheter and colostomy care, tube feeding, respiratory devices care and much more.
You will find me to be resourceful and self-motivated individual, with the ability to work supportively within a team environment and communicate effectively at all levels. I bring an enthusiastic, diligent, and dedicated attitude together with the ability to adapt readily to varying job demands.
