Hello, my name is Manroop and I live in Langley. I am currently a student who wishes to pursue a career in the medical field in the future. I am compassionate, patient and I enjoy helping and caring for others. I love to hike and go to the gym during my spare time and my favorite hobby is dirt biking.

I have experience working with an ALS patient that is paralyzed from the neck down and non verbal. I assist with transferring the patient using a hoyer lift, toileting, feeding, ROM exercises, MT and administration of medications. I have acquired many skills from working with this palliative care patient such as critical thinking as no day is the same and being assertive and recognizing if the patient needs her bipap on or has any other needs. I have learned to adapt to changes as her health declines and be proactive in her care. I also have experience from volunteering and taking care of family. I took care of my grandmother who had dementia and assisted her in eating, bathing, doctors appointments, keeping her company and ensuring her safety. I have been volunteering at the hospital for over 7 years and have experience working with the elderly and sick. Alongside of that, I wish to pursue a career in the medical field and I have knowledge about certain illnesses and the human body as I have completed my bachelors degree in biology.
