I want to work as a Personal Support Worker because I have always been passionate about helping others and providing quality care. My background as an international dentist has strengthened my understanding of patient needs, empathy, and attention to detail. In addition, completing my Healthcare Administration program and holding a DSW certificate have deepened my knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system and person-centered care. This role allows me to combine my clinical experience and compassionate nature to make a positive difference in people’s lives every day.
o Assisted clients with personal hygiene, including bathing/showering, oral care, grooming, and toileting. o Supported mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety and comfort during daily routines. o Prepared and served nutritious meals based on clients’ dietary needs and preferences. o Administered medication reminders in accordance with care plans and family instructions. o Performed light housekeeping duties, including laundry, dishes, tidying, and maintaining a safe and clean home environment. o Provided companionship and emotional support, fostering a trusting and respectful relationship. o Assisted with activities of daily living (ADLs) and encouraged independence where possible. o Reported changes in clients' physical or mental health to supervisors or family members as appropriate.
