Maureen K.
Hello, my name is Maureen. I am a dedicated and compassionate health care professional based in Brampton, with one year of experience caring for individuals with a variety of needs and diagnoses. Over the course of my work, I have helped patients with conditions ranging from speech impairment, dementia, stroke, and diabetes to visual and hearing impairments, including assisting individuals who are bedridden or have mobility issues. My passion for caregiving extends to providing ambulation assistance, aiding in heavy patient lifting and transfers, and offering bathing, dressing and grooming help. I am highly experienced in executing housekeeping duties such as laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning and preparation, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dishwashing, amongst others. I am also skillful in managing healthcare tasks like catheter/colostomy care and bed baths. I am always ready to put my certified training as a Caregiver / Companion and Personal Support Worker to good use. My caregiving approach focuses on providing a positive, supportive environment while ensuring the dignified and respectful treatment of every patient in my care. On a personal level, I am patient, responsible, and sensitive to the needs of those I care for, including children with disabilities. I am interested in a full-time, live-in/Live -out position in Home Health Care, Retirement Homes, or Clinic/Hospital settings where I can continue to serve with compassion and professionalism. My availability is flexible, as I can work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and late nights from Monday to Saturday. I can start immediately and am eager to bring my caregiving skills to those who need them. Please feel free to reach out to me if you feel that my qualifications fit your needs. I look forward to the potential opportunity to provide quality care for your loved one.
I have worked as a personal suppprt worker at Bramalea Retirement Residence where I provided support for seniors. Prior to that, I worked at Toronto People Living With Aids Foundation as a caregiver, Assisting in their daily living acrivities. In both roles, I was responsible for helping clients with personal hygiene, mobility, and medication reminders, as well as offering emotional support and companionship. I also performed light housekeeping and meal preparation to ensure a comfortable environment for the clients. I am passionate about working in this field because I believe that compassionate care can make a significant difference in a person’s life. I enjoy the personal connections I form with clients and take pride in being able to support their independence and well-being. The opportunity to contribute positively to someone’s day-to-day life and make them feel valued is what motivates me to continue in this role.
