I have 3 years of experience as a caregiver in my home country and 4 years of experience here in Canada. I worked for more than a year to Nurse Next Door. With them I learned how to use hoyer lift, do bed baths, transfers from bed to chair, to commode, to wheelchair. I had one client who suffered a stroke and had to sleep wearing a condom catheter which I’ve putting on and removed in the morning, cleaned the catheter bag, cleaning them after using toilet seat. My last FT role was with R. Ross and with them I had to lift and transfer them from bed to wheelchair, to toilet seat and shower stool. Showering, cooking, cleaning, dusting, light housekeeping. Driving around to appointments, groceries, malls, friends, and family. Helped with their kid, picking up from school, helping to look after. Meanwhile, I had a PT job with K. Colpman. They had been diagnosed with ELS and I helped them to get out of bed, cooking, light housekeeping, driving to swim pools, showering.
