Ivy K.
I’m a dedicated caregiver with over 10 years of experience in the Guelph and Waterloo community. By day, I work in community health, and I’m now looking to offer my skills for part-time, overnight 'asleep' support. My background is in supporting adults with disabilities, mental health needs, and brain injuries, which means I’m very comfortable with 'hands-on' care—whether that’s helping with bedtime routines, personal hygiene, or medication. I’m known for being incredibly calm in stressful situations and a very reliable person to have in the house. I genuinely enjoy helping people maintain their independence and dignity. When I’m not working, I love staying active and being outdoors, which helps me bring a positive, grounded energy to my work. I have my own vehicle, a clean driving record, and I'm fully up-to-date on First Aid and CPR. I’m looking to help a family who needs a responsible, experienced professional they can trust to keep things running smoothly and safely through the night.
I have over 9 years of experience working one-on-one with adults who need extra support, whether it’s due to a disability, a brain injury, or mental health struggles. I’m very comfortable with the daily 'hands-on' side of care—things like helping with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene, as well as managing medications and keeping a close eye on health needs. I’ve spent a lot of my career helping people through tough moments and crises, so I’m calm under pressure and always put safety first. Whether it's helping with chores and meal prep or just being a reliable presence overnight, my goal is always to make sure my clients feel respected, safe, and well-cared for in their own homes.
