I have many years of experience as a nanny, starting at the age of 12. Now, as a mature and trustworthy nanny in my 50s, I have recent experience caring for families with twins, three boys aged 2, 4, and 7, twins aged 4 months, and two older children. I am capable of cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, and tidying up. I am also able to pick up toddlers and children from daycare, school, or the bus stop within walking distance, without the need for my own vehicle or a car seat.
Since my retirement in 2018, I have also worked with the elderly, including a 1.5-year commitment to caring for an 80-year-old gentleman in his home. I volunteered at an elderly center in Hull in 2018, driving elders to medical appointments, cancer, dialysis treatments to various locations in Gat, Ottaw & MTL. Provided companionship visits, meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, and assistance with grocery shopping. I have completed numerous urgent self-defense and awareness training courses aimed at meeting the health, safety, and security needs of the elderly.
I am available for work during mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, weekends, and on-call.
I have recent references available and hold a valid Secret security clearance from the government, including a police and criminal background check valid until 2025. I also obtained a police vulnetability check report in January 2020 that can be renewed and completed a CPR and urgent care training for adults and children on January 16, 2020.
I am available on a part-time or full-time basis, evenings or overnights stays to aid or relief to any family. I possess wonderful positive references.
I have worked for 15 years in the medical field, at 2 Ottawa hospitals, and specialist medical clinics. I started volunteering for a non-profit organization offering free services to the elderly for an entire year in 2018. I took multiple training sessions related to health, safety, security, and transportation of seniors. Since then, I have been employed as a caregiver in various in-home capacities, including mornings, days, and even overnights. I cook, clean, do laundry, coordinate and bring to medical appointments, act as a liaison between medical professionals, long-term care facilities, and the family, with clients who have dementia, incontinence, diabetes, and cancer.
