Barbra M.
As a dedicated health professional with over 8 years of experience, it is my honor to introduce myself as Barbra. Currently based in Edmonton, I bring a wealth of knowledge in valuable activities such as oxygen administration, bed pan handling, patient lifting, and transfer, to name a few. My extensive experience ranges from working with patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, strokes, and arthritis, among others. Assisting these individuals has deepened my understanding of their needs, and in turn, reinforced my patience and empathy, making me an asset in the field of home health care or retirement homes settings. With a wealth of qualifications including a Caregiver / Companion Certificate, Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate, and Health Care Aides (HCA) Certificate, I am fully prepared to deal with any situation that may arise. While I am unable to relocate, I can travel and have a vehicle at my disposal, having obtained a driver's license. At present, I am available from morning until night from Monday to Saturday, and on Sundays from noon until night. Beyond the professional aspects, I am also a mother who loves to learn, appreciates the simple joys of going for walks, and holds a firm belief in helping people where I can. As someone who is smoke-free and extremely diligent in maintaining good health, it's a goal I seriously strive for. Although I cannot swim, my skills and talents extend far beyond the physical, allowing me to provide holistic care. In this role, my responsibility extends to various tasks including but not limited to housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning or preparation, errands, and bathroom cleaning. For further affirmation of my dedication, I am ready to start immediately and am flexible with my living arrangement, whether that be live-in or live-out. As an African heritage English speaker, I am equally comfortable as a Caregiver or Companion or a Personal Support worker in a full-time position.
