I’m a calm, compassionate, and steady presence with a gentle heart for people who benefit from patience, companionship, and respectful support. My background blends administrative work, customer care, and hands-on experience in group-home and wellness settings. I’m especially drawn to roles where connection, dignity, and kindness matter — where someone simply feeling seen and supported can make the biggest difference in their day. I’m a naturally quiet, grounded person who enjoys meaningful conversation, card games, crafts & creating, walks, nature, light outings (using transit), reading, and creating a sense of ease in the environment around me. I approach care with warmth, attentiveness, and calm energy, and I’m comfortable helping with companionship, light tasks, routines, emotional support, gentle reminders, and day-to-day connection. I live simply, value integrity, and believe deeply in supporting others in a way that honours their independence, comfort, and personal rhythm. Families can expect reliability, clear communication, and someone who genuinely cares about the well-being of the people I'm supporting.

I have experience supporting individuals with different abilities and backgrounds, including work in a group home with residents who had various disabilities and one-to-one support with newcomers learning English. In these roles, I most enjoyed truly engaging with people rather than simply completing tasks. While working in a group home, I supported residents with significant mobility and speech challenges. One individual was often assumed to be unable to communicate meaningfully. By taking time, slowing down, and offering patience, I discovered he could communicate and engage when given the opportunity. That experience reinforced how important presence, dignity, and being genuinely listened to are in caregiving. Similarly, while supporting a newcomer learning English, I helped not only with language but also with navigating daily life. Over time, his confidence and communication improved noticeably, which was deeply rewarding to witness. Although I have not worked formally with seniors yet, I have spent time with older adults and understand how important independence, choice, and being heard are at this stage of life. Through my relationship with my own mother, who is a senior, I’ve seen firsthand how strongly independence matters and how meaningful companionship and respectful support can be. I naturally offer empathy, patience, compassion, clear communication, and a calm, grounded presence. I am also detail-oriented and experienced in maintaining clear notes and documentation from my work in group homes, veterinary clinics, and administrative roles. Through my background in caregiving-adjacent roles, I’ve learned how much trust, consistency, and genuine presence matter. I am comfortable providing companionship, assisting with basic daily tasks, and creating a calm, safe environment. I am also open to learning proper lifting, transfer techniques, or any additional training needed to provide quality care.

Though I haven't had specific training to work with individuals who need physical or emotional support, I am experienced as a veterinary technologist working with both distressed animals and their owners. I graduated from the NAIT Animal Health Technology program and worked in veterinary clinics, plus provided in-home pet care for about 10 years.
