I am Luwam, a 30-year-old mother of three and a passionate healthcare professional who has been part of the healthcare sector since 2018. I have earned certification in Healthcare Aid from NorQuest College and have undergone training in First Aid and CPR. My experience stems from my tenure at South Terrace (Revera), where I assisted clients with their daily routines, providing vital care, including feeding, mobility, and grooming. I am dedicated to lending a compassionate hand to those who need assistance, making their day-to-day lives a little more manageable. I am adept at performing various essential tasks such as heavy patient lifting and transfer, bathing assistance, grooming assistance, toileting assistance, and executing household duties. I am knowledgeable about specialized care techniques for Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's, Speech Impairment, and other conditions. I firmly believe in fostering a comfortable and caring environment for those under my care. Moreover, I have the necessary skills to assist children with disabilities and am passionate about ensuring their well-being. I am in search of a part-time, live-out position, preferably in home health care, retirement homes, or clinical/hospital settings. I am flexible and available on weekdays from mornings until midday. Starting from the 4th of September, 2025, I am eager to make a difference in the lives of individuals through my attentive care and assistance. The role of Caregiver/Companion deeply resonates with me as I derive fulfillment from improving the lives of others. This position would enable me to offer beneficial services such as escorting patients to appointments, planning outings, Alzheimer/Dementia care, palliative care, Parkinson care, patient positioning, and Catheter/Colostomy care, among others. Currently residing in Edmonton, I am excited to continue my journey in the healthcare sector.
