I had been a companion at a care home for a lovely 94 year old woman until her recent passing. Her out-of-town family was making sure she got out for drives and walks, she had someone to read to her and keep up to date on current events. Just being a companion. It was definitely rewarding! I am currently a companion/driver for another lovely 94 year old lady. I take her out grocery shopping, thrift stores, to get fresh eggs, etc and I do that on Friday.
